Speaker Bio: Haakon Roberts has 25 years' experience working with DB2 on the mainframe platform, spanning various aspects of systems programming, database administration and software support. Since 1999 he has worked for DB2 for z/OS development and is a Distinguished Engineer at the IBM Silicon Valley Laboratory in San Jose, California. He is the technical lead for DB2 for z/OS Utilities, responsible for overall utility strategy and is also focused on availability, service and serviceability issues. He is a regular speaker on these and other topics.
Randy Ebersole is a Senior Certified IT Specialist in IBM's Information Management DB2 for z/OS Lab Services organization. Randy provides onsite technical consulting to customers around the world. With over 25 years of practical, hands on DB2 experience, Randy has expert level skills in database and application database design, DB2 system and application performance and high availability.
John Tobler is a senior developer and designer for DB2 for z/OS. He has worked extensively on instrumentation, agent services, and storage
management. He has lead numerous projects focused on autonomics,
serviceability, and performance. John has chaired the DB2 for z/OS Service Advisory Team and Design Review Board. He is currently oversees all development and design for the core engine components of DB2.
