Abstract:  This hands-on-lab will teach you how to use the latest version of IBM Data Server Manager for Linux, Unix and Windows to diagnose and resolve performance problems. You will work on four use cases where a query is not performing as manifested in the CPU, I/O, Memory and Locking information. A fifth use case will go beyond the monitoring diagnosis to show how you can mitigate the current problem by tuning a single query or the entire workload the query belongs to.
What will attendees learn: Attendees will learn how to use Data Server Manager to diagnose, analyze and prevent performance problems by examining the CPU, I/O, Memory and Locking information; as well as perform what-if analysis to iteratively resolve the problem.
