Abstract:  IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator (IDAA) is deeply integrated with DB2 11 to combine the best of both z Systems and PureData technologies and transparently deliver unparalleled, mixed-workload performance to DB2 applications. If you heard about IDAA on Cloud, you're probably wondering where this service can be found, how you can get started, and how it feels to work with it compared to its appliance sister. This hands-on lab answers these questions, and will get your head spinning with new ways to use the IDAA Cloud service. It includes instructions and demos on using the current IDAA offering to accelerate DB2 queries, QMF, and InfoSphere DataStage. In addition, we will show a demo on how to get started with IDAA on Cloud.
What will attendees learn: This is a hands-on session that shows where the IDAA on cloud service can be found, how it is started and how you connect your mainframe with it. We will demo all of this live on stage, and talk about ideas for how this service may be used to solve your problems. One of the most compelling reasons for cloud is the ever-growing choice of analytics services, which are all just one click away once you have moved your data to the cloud.
