DB2 11 for z/OS Application Developer - Part 2

Before continuing with the next episode of our series, I would like to point out a feature of IBM Knowledge Center that can help you building your own certification guide! When you click on the links provided in these blogs, you can add them to a named collection and later export the whole collection as a PDF file. All you need to have is an IBM ID and use it to log on to the Knowledge Center. You can start with your own collections on this link.

All was said, so we can now go on with another set of links. In this part of our series we will focus on Data Retrieval and Manipulation topics. What I found useful in this part of the test objectives was how to minimize calls to DB2 using statements like MERGE, SELECT FROM FINAL/OLD TABLE known as data change table reference, and some other tricks. Most useful section was Accessing data section in the Application programming and SQL guide.

Create table joins using best practices

Merge / select from data change table reference
