This month’s theme is DB2 for z/OS performance, to start us of is an article by Ludovic Janssens of Infocura. In his article “JAVA frameworks for JDBC access”, he talks about the different performance choices and pitfalls that come into play when developing using frameworks.
To continue our DB2 for LUW theme this month, particularly focusing on performance topics, I've collected together my top ten hints and tips for DB2 for LUW into an article. Most of these have been gleaned through attending IDUG conferences and networking with IDUG members over the years.
In March 2013 the IDUG DB2 11 Editorial Committee worked alongside IBM's formal DB2 11 ESP to gain valuable insight into exactly what makes the new release tick. This presentation by IBM Champion and Gold Consultant Julian Stuhler looks at some of the key findings presented in the paper.
