The dust has started to settle after a great week at the IDUG EMEA 2015 Technical Conference in Dublin. My CPC colleague Phil Nelson has written a Blog which gives an excellent overview of the high spots but as Conference Chair this year I just wanted to add a few closing thoughts.
The conference is almost over for another year, and again I think it has been a wonderful event. Congratulations to Steve Thomas for his leadership
I admit it, that "Day 3" entry wasn't really written on the 3th day of our conference. Not even on the 4th. There are simply too much things going on at the conference to get that done in real time.This time I'm not even going to pretend it's the last conference day. You wouldn't believe me anyway.
That was a pretty short night, but we’re ready for the most technical day of the week. Each track has six sessions planned, nicely divided with the two expert panels planned in the middle. Mirna Kos and Mark Labby had the honor of opening the conference. There was of course the usual overview of all the activities that were to come for the next week, but more worth remembering were the merit awards for IDUG volunteers
