Question: I am trying in to find the workload name being used by a connection in DB2 10.5? What's the easiest way to do this?
Announcing public access to the IBM Graphical Workload Management (GWLM) tool! This tool provides a visual overview of a workload management (WLM) configuration in the DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows product and allows you to easily view and modify them.
I have run into a number of customer who have Optim Performance Manager (OPM) and who were unaware of a feature introduced in OPM 184.108.40.206 in August 2012 that provides an important value-add to people working with DB2 workload management.
This is a follow-on entry to a previous one discussing how workload management and DB2 pureScale get along... it contains a first draft of a proposal for a workload management paradigm aimed at homogeneous workloads (e.g. OLTP)
One of the more interesting parts (to me :) of the new monitoring information introduced in DB2 for LUW 9.5 is the histogram concept. This beastie provides useful information about the distribution of values for different characteristics of things going on within DB2.
