This presentation will show how DB2 page formatting changes during SQL processing. SQL processing that adds, deletes, or updates data impacts how DB2 stores the information. We will walk through various scenarios to understand the detail of DB2 page formatting. With this improved understanding of the DB2 page internals, we'll show how this knowledge will translate into performance analysis and object definition setup. Various scenarios will be used to show how object definition can impact data storage within a tablespace.
