Hibernate is probably a dirty word for many DB2 DBA's and even some traditional SQL developers. How could someone turn the job of creating well-behaving, well-performing SQL over to software, and open source no less? Well, like it or not, Hibernate and similar frameworks are likely here to stay. SQL in many cases is no longer coded by "hand", but is generated by Hibernate. So, come learn how to be better prepared to support and maybe even influence these applications to behave in a way that you can better support. Hear from someone who had some of the same concerns as you as we attack the issue head on and look for ways to work effectively with this tool.
