Performance is a key database requirement, especially in a high availability system like the billing system for Progressive Insurance. This presentation will cover methods we use to monitor and track DB2 performance and then various solutions we have implemented to address performance issues. Some of our solutions were very simple, yet netted us big performance gains. Other solutions surprised us by not always working as expected. Come and hear from actual DB2 developers about some processes that may be able to benefit the systems you support.
