Implementing LOBs (large objects)in an existing DB2 UDB environment on z/OS has a big impact on existing DBA practices and procedures. Based on our experiences at Sidmar, this presentation will focus on some new concepts and limitations the DBA should become familiar with when starting to work with Lob Table spaces. Things to consider when creating, populating,tuning and managing Lob objects will be explained.
