The absence of a dynamic SQL repository represents a problem for database administrators, performance analysts and system programmers. This presentation will discuss experiences with the various tracing options available to capture dynamic SQL and the challenges involved in making this information usable. As well, relevant new DB2 for z/OS V8 features such as EXPLAIN STMTCACHE will be discussed.
