Federated Databases make sense at T-mobile (I04)

T-mobile has 3 database products in use- DB2,Oracle and SQLServer. Not only is it extremely convenient to run cross-platform real-time queries, as opposed to file extract methods, it has been very beneficial to have have federated links between Test and Production DB2 (Sun Solaris) Systems to offer real-time reports on current release status and any discrepancies, planned or unplanned.
