Effective management of zOS DB2 UDB includes having a firm understanding of maintenance. All too often maintenance is applied in an emergency, or delayed until it’s an overwhelming job. Additionally, SMPE can be intimidating. This course will resolve many of the concerns of maintenance by explaining how DB2 UDB is built, IBMLINK keys, the PMR, APAR, and PTF process, and SMPE for the DB2 Sysprog, including downleveling.
