This presentation will introduce DB2 UDB indexes. After a brief description of the different index types, this presentation will detail the indexing enhancements that are available with DB2 UDB V8. This includes varying length indexes, indexes with long keys, data-partitioned secondary indexes, table controlled partitioning, etc. Will cover catalog indexes and how they change during migrations and the V8 ENFM process.
