Even when the Database Engine brought more automation each release and autonomic computing is promising not to waste time on nuts-and-bolt details, the tasks of DBA have not decreased. You can no longer be the jack-of-all-trades. However, there are still critical tasks you still need to master. Today powerful usage of database technology can only if DBA is technology-savvy and business oriented
