Currency Conversion Cutover in YKB (A08)

On 1.1.2005,Turkey dropped six zeroes from its former currency,TL,and introduced a new currency,YTL. Process of realizing this conversion in a 24/7 banking environment with minimum downtime,and the long running project to analyze,rewrite and test code and data continued up to the cutover.The trigger based process to minimize downtime, and the work done to establish and maintain a proper test environment will be discussed.
