The growing number of DB2 systems with a huge number of dynamically changing objects makes DB administration with static jobs impossible. COPY, RUNSTATS, MODIFY, REORG, object resizing/compression must be run against moving targets. This presentation shows how Realtime Statistics, LISTDEF, DYNALLOC, TEMPLATE, EXEC SQL in DSNUTIL, Declared Temp Tables and History Tables are used in an SAP project to automate utility tasks.

10 DB2 Systems, 200000 Tables: Too much for 1 DBA?

New DBA-Functions: RTS,Listdef,DynAlloc,Templates

SQL script generates all jobs for your DB2 Systems
