With the introduction of Native XML storage in DB2 the support for XML is now at the same footing as SQL.This implies advanced storage/indexing techniques and powerful querying capabilities for XML data. Structured and semi-structured data can be efficiently stored in the same datastore and queried using a flexible mix of SQL/XML and XQuery languages.
