DB2 UDB for LUW provides a wealth of tuning information through snapshot and event monitors. This data is used by almost every performance monitoring strategy. DB2 V8 allows the option of storing snapshot and event monitor output directly into DB2 tables. After the data is in table, OLAP SQL examples will be given for analysis. Tips on how to set up a performance database will also be given.
