Topic: Cross Platform DB2 for z/OS & LUW
Often the statistical analysis of large data sets is hampered by the transmission of data from the server to the client and of local aggregation and chunking of data that the client has to perform to enable the analysis to complete in the limited resource available on client computers.
This presentation will outline several techniques for enhancing R statistical analysis using DB2 LUW, including methods for optimizing performance your analysis by keeping data on the database server and in making use of DB2 LUWs powerful features for partitioning and chunking the data.
This presentation is targeted toward advanced DB2 users and application developers who are interested in optimizing external processing of large volumes of data.
This presentation will focus on the R statistical language but the techniques are equally applicable to many other external analysis packages.
