Performance Management becomes a more critical focus if you want to best tune your system and applications. Real-Time monitoring helps you to understand current critical situations. However, if you want to tune your system, you need to collect statistics and workload information over a certain period of time and analyze weak areas and trends. Why not load the data you collect into a performance warehouse and utilize the power of SQL to run analysis functions and rules-of-thumb to locate weak areas and identify the best tuning actions to take?Performance management is more than saving data into DB2 tables--it includes identifying areas of improvement and tuning before your system or applications become critical situations. And this helps to save you money to spend your time on the most effective tuning actions.
