DB2 usage is growing not just on the public cloud but it is also taking hold on the private clouds that majority of the enterprise architecture teams are looking to build. Cloud Computing is not new technology but a new deployment model. And while it can deliver great benefits, it requires thought and planning for DB2 to be deployed properly. This planning encompasses identification of suitable workloads, understanding security and privacy implications, impacts of using shared resources on performance and consistency, and operating procedures and processes.
