With version 8 of DB2 UDB for OS/390 and z/OS, recursive SQL will be available on every platform. This very powerful SQL construct can be utilized to quickly solve many business functions. This presentation introduces DB2 recursive SQL, and its many uses. From traversing hierarchies, loops, and networks, to generating test data and statements, the very simple to the most extremely complex will be addressed.
