Cooperative Developing for DB2 Competition on Campus Project (D05)

the project Db2 on Competition (DB2oC) involve several groups belonging to different universities and IBM laboratories of Toronto (CA). DB2oC concerns of activity to develop an open source system for the competition of students on DB2 skill. DB2oC is born from the intuition to create a virtual community of practice that beyond finding the skill on a specific argument can exercise a spread activity and a good practice of learning through the competition. The role carried out from the eclipse Italian community and University federico II has been crucial for the organization of the development and is spent around the constitution of the practice community of developers. In particular its task has been that one to coordinate the phase of specification, design and development. Up to now 50 teams of development for a total of approximately 250 students, and one MD electronic engineering team has been involved.
