This presention provides a technical look at DB2 pureScale. It will look at pueScale's key value propositions - new levels of scalability and availability, as well the key nuggets of technical information that define it's architecture and design.. It will describe how pureScale automatically recovers from component and software failures, while maintaining database availability. It will describe how pureScale allows system maintenance events to occur without outages. It will describe the design techniques used to scale workloads across multiple computers. The presentation will also cover how workload is balanced across multiple computers, and how a pureScale cluster is monitored and configured. Finally, the presentation will cover the latest pure-Scale related developments from the lab (confidential at the time this abstract is written).
