Things used to be so Simple. The DB2 DBA would CREATE a TABLESPACE, and away we went. With the advent of DB2 9, we now have a wide variety of partitioning and indexing schemes to choose from, including DPSI, NPSI, PBG, and many more. How does a DBA determine the best partitioning/indexing scheme for his application? This presentation will review the various options and discuss the types of application or utility processing that would benefit from each.
