With the pervasive growth of new e-business applications, DB2 professionals need to understand how Java applications interact with DB2 and how to communicate with Java developers. This presentation will discuss the various architecture options for exploiting DB2 for z/OS from any WebSphere platform. We will review topics like Connection Pooling, Statement Caching, Transaction Management, Dynamic vs Static SQL execution, Security and Auditing. Special focus will be on new persistence solutions that become more favorite to the Java development community.
