In order to maximize the potential of DB2 for z/OS 10, an understanding of DB2 transaction accounting is a must. Stored procedures have become central to many applications as they encapsulate logic and can enfore business rules. Monitoring and tuning procedures is important to maximize the performance potential of DB2. This session will focus upon end-to-end stored procedure analysis. Statement level performance will be covered for both stored procedure and non-nested applications. The relationship between DB2 engine support and new OMPE stored procedure extended insight monitoring will be highlighted.
