Subtopic: DB2 for z/OS
Applications deployed in a cloud that require database resources need to have a database provisioned on demand. Database provisioning can be an onerous process. The goal of database as a service (DBaaS) is to provide automation for database provisioning such that all required authorization, machine resources, database objects, and connection information can be obtained seamlessly. DB2 for z/OS is rich in features that make it a desirable choice for DBaaS. These feature and future provisioning tools will be discussed.
