As a DBA, how many times have you got the call, "There is something wrong with DB2, my query is running slow, or my data is not right". By attending this session you will learn how to quickly identify whether the problem is SQL, IO, Memory related or CPU related. As a master DB2 practioner, I will share with you my techniques that I use to identify what the problem is and then how to solve it and verify that it has been solved. In this session I will show you how to assess, monitor and tune DB2 LUW instances and databases using snapshot monitoring, table functions, admin routines and new time spent monitoring elements. Upon completion of this session, you will be able to solve all your database problems, whether SQL or resource related.
