Every developer wants to validate that the SQL they are creating is of the highest quality possible. They want the SQL to be clear and concise enough to be easily modified or debugged if necessary. We will share techniques to help them research DB2 issues and improve their SQL. We will present 10 techniques to help the developer perform these tasks. Some of the topics include: knowing how to read the DB2MSTR log to solve performance issues, understanding claims and drains, identifying the right lock settings, using RTS, when/how to performance test and many more. You will also love the list of our favorite new features in V10. All of these helpful hints will advance your knowledge of SQL.
