DB2 10 for z/OS introduces Hash Access to DB2 Data, a feature that is designed to vastly improve response time and significantly reduce CPU usage for some applications. This presentation will provide in-depth information on when and how to use Hash Access to your best advantage. The DBAs and System Programmers will be especially interested in the information on space usage and space management with hash access. Hints on optimizing space usage, monitoring and tuning the data base for best performance, as well as pit falls to avoid, will be shared.
