Catalog Manager and Change Manager are such functionally rich products itís possible there are tasks you can perform with them that you may not be aware of. This presentation is intended to highlight some of the more useful features and perhaps demystify some you may have heard of but havenít utilised. Weíll cover setting up utility profiles and customizing Catalog Manager to control what options and commands can be executed, and look at worklist parallelism and the use of CM/Pilot within Change Manager.

OBJECTIVES:

Find out how to select DB2 objects to alter based on their attributes, not their names

Look at ways to migrate data from one environment to another

Set and save utility parameter combinations and use them when building utility JCL

Limit various Catalog Manager commands and options to certain users

Utilise Worklist Parallelism to achieve changes more quickly
