This presentation will take you on a guided tour of some of the different facets of the new DB2 Workload Manager introduced in DB2 9.5 for Linux, Unix, and Windows. Using examples, we will look at a variety of different scenarios to show you the new tools and approaches that are now available to you to fix your "leaky pipes" and "squeaky doors". While there will be a quick review of the basic concepts and methodology, the focus of this presentation will be primarily on the use of some of the other aspects of DB2 Workload Manager to provide solutions to common problems.
