Connectivity to z/OS using DB2 Connect with Kerberos Authentication (F08)

This presentation will give an overview of the implementation of DB2 Connect at ArcelorMittal using Kerberos authentication. Kerberos permits a single sign-on environment where the user logs on once to the Windows network, and is able to securily connect to DB2 on z/OS using DB2 Connect, without providing a mainframe userid/password. Why and how will be explained. Also the Kerberos authentication protocol will be positioned towards other security features like LDAP,digital certificates and encryption.
