In the new version of DB2, IBM has unveiled JLINQ, a new, more flexible and efficient way for Java programs to access the database. JLINQ provides an easy way for all programmers to use many different or their favorite coding methods of accessing the database. Through inline program coding, Java methods, or object relational mapping the programmer now has the flexibility to use a variety of ways to build java persistent database access.JLINQ also provides extra benefits to the database administrator because these new modules can be bound statically improving security, performance and scalability for your most robust applications. In this presentation JLINQ and its new capabilities will be presented along with examples of how your shop can used JLINQ to improve your existing jDBC and future java applications. (60 minute session)

Analyze how to implement and leverage JLINQ with the improvements to Visual Explain to capture all the java SQL information just like your COBOL applications.
