SPEAKERS: Glenn Galler (Advanced Technical Support (ATS))

There are many ways to do disaster recovery for IMS. Determining which solution generally depends on how much time it takes to continue business at the remote site (RTO) and how much data can be lost (RPO). This presentation will focus on the high end disaster recovery solutions that have a low RTO and RPO. It will compare the mirroring technologies provided with GDPS (IBM Metro Mirror, IBM Global Mirror, IBM z/OS Global Mirror) with the Remote Site Recovery feature in IMS. Both solutions work well with IMS but are different approaches to disaster recovery.
