System level backup is one of the most interesting new features of DB2 V8 for a system administrator. We immediately wanted to use this feature in our SAP environment. Nevertheless there are some things to check and to prepare before using the backup system utility. To restore a system brings up new questions and challenges. This presentation will show how we migrated to system level backup and how to do a proper restore from such a backup.
