Getting the Most Out of Your BMC DB2 Utilities (G06)

This session will provide a set of tuning and usage recommendations which customers can adopt in order to optimize ease of use, performance, throughput and availability when using BMC DB2 for z/OS Utilities. It is aimed at Users of an Intermediate to Experienced level who have used our utilities for some time and are familiar with the general concepts but who may not be aware of all the fine tuning options available. Subjects which will be covered include controlling multitasking, minimizing I/O by efficient use of memory, analyzing and tuning SORT processes, sizing workfile datasets, and optimizing Dynamic Dataset Allocation. The utilities under discussion will be COPY PLUS for DB2, RECOVER PLUS for DB2 and REORG PLUS for DB2.
