Triggers are an important database feature. They allow for the centralization of database logic, enabling faster application development, portability, and flexibility. They can be used for a variety of data intesive functions, and can be a great performance advantage. Proper use of triggers is important, however, as they can be abused. This presentation will introduce the attendee to triggers, and how they have been succesfully used in real world implementations.
