Yup, hardware. And although not as cool as SQL, still the essential component to the success of running DB2 in your environment. And the latest cool hardware we keep hearing about is zIIPs and specialty engines. So this presentation will do a deep dive into the zIIP specialty engine but not before a complete specialty engine history lesson and a look at all of the specialty engines that arrived before zIIP. Did you know that DB2, in some way, can use them all?

Explain how DB2 takes advantage of each specialty engine
