DB2 V9 for z/OS presents a new data architecture, Universal Table Spaces, will become an essential component of future data management. This presentation will provide a comprehensive overview of Partiton by Range Universal Table Space and Partition by Growth Table space, review the rationale behind their introduction and discuss the unique characteristics and benefitsof each structure in turn.
