Leveraging zIIP with DB2 for z/OS (H02)

An overview of zIIP (System z Integrated Information Processor) and how some DB2 for z/OS V8 workloads may leverage zIIP to provide a cost effective System z platform solutions will be presented. Details on how DB2 for z/OS distributed TCP/IP DRDA applications, some complex parallel queries and some Utilities can benefit from zIIP will be discussed . The process of monitoring zIIP usage and estimating zIIP benefits will be presented.
