When using the TCP/IP protocol, DB2 supports User ID only, User ID and password and User ID and PassTicket as DRDA authentication mechanisms. For security reasons, the RACF PassTicket is the recommended choice for outbound connections. This presentation is about the advantages of using RACF PassTickets in different scenarios and their implementation. Description of DRDA over TCP/IP security. TCPALVER=YES and distributed security threads.
