This presentation lays out a road map for enabling and using DB2 autonomic capabilities for DB2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows. Autonomics are nothing new, but many organizations have been slow in taking advantage of DB2's built-in autonomic capabilites. This presentation will provide recommendations for using all of the autonomic capabilities with DB2 V8.2+ and DB2 9. This session will help you to understand and configure/enable DB2 autonomic features, and it will show you how DB2 provided autonomics can free up your time for you to perform other important DBA responsibilities and to increase overall DBA productivity.
