With the release of DB2 9, DB2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows adds yet another method for laying out your data with Table Partitioning. Join Chris as he gives you not only an overview of table partitioning but shows you how to utilize MDC, and Table Partitioning and Database Partitioning Feature. You can use each separately or combine 2 or 3 of these techniques to truly exploit performance and manageability characteristics of each for an optimal implementation.
