There are in the market powerful tools for SQL Tuning. With these tools, you can tune your SQL in an easy way, focusing your effort in the SQL statements where you can save the most. However, like any other monitoring tool, it is very difficult to justify in numerical terms. This presentation describes a real project for application and SQL tuning. You can then compare the savings that customer got using a tool with the savings that you can expect without it, based in your SQL tuning expertise, and decide on your own whether using one of these tools is worth for your organization. Also, this presentation will lead to a deeper knowledge of these tools capabilities and its use in your daily operation.
