DATE: 2006-5-8 (04:00 PM - 05:10 PM)
SPEAKERS: Tom Moulder (TREX Associates, Inc.)

Mainframe customers all over the world have struggled with how to get performance out of DB2. Conflicts have arisen between the DB2 Professionals (read Sysprogs, DBAs and Programmers) and the z/OS Systems Programmers over performance and the choices made in Workload Manager for z/OS. Most of the time, the DB2 Professional walks away from the conversation dazed and confused by the black magic of the Systems programmer. This presentation will take the mystery out of Workload Manager and allow the DB2 Professional to make intelligent requests for changes in Workload Manager based on this new found knowledge. This is a must see presentation for anyone who has been dismayed by Workload Manager and the z/OS Systems Programmer.
