When installing vendor packages, the option to change the SQL is limited. This situation creates the need for creative indexes and AIX system tuning. This presentation will cover some share ware tools that the State of Iowa used to capture SQL, basic tuning techniques that can be applied to any setting, and interesting documented and hard to find AIX settings to help ensure a successful implementation.
